Garlic & Grass Discussion

Some things are best not broadcast to a world who hates us for allowing our government to take over the world.

I agree that 9/11 was suspicious, particularly the WTC7, and no plane at the pentagon. But while everyone complains that it is wrong, that the election was fixed, the war is wrong, George Bush is wrong, no one actually does anything about it. If they do, something bad might happen to them. What can we do to change it? Nothing. The bottom line here - Money, control, and power. It is clear that the world is at a changing point and power is shifting. When power shifts, men scramble for control. Those who orchestrated this obviously know far more than we would ever be allowed to know. Disinformation, deceitful information. Can you blame the government? Some things are best not broadcast to a world who hates us for allowing our government to take over the world. A world when traveling out of the US, your fellow passengers tell you not to tell anyone on the continent you're going to that you are American. What choice do we have but to support our government and our troops? I turn my head when reading these things because ignorance was bliss and I now have knowledge of reality that I wish I did not have. Knowledge that I am powerless to change. I'll go see Chuck and Larry and escape from reality because that reality is better than this reality. Our country is at war and they can take my son at any time, send him to war, put a loaded gun in his hand, drop him off in Baghdad, send him out on a mission to get an insurgent, he does his job, returns to his commander and is arrested because he shot someone accidentally based on erroneous information so when he gets home alive YAY TY GOD, they'll charge him with murder and put him away for 110 years. But at least he'll be alive. In the mean time, my country provides me with assistance to live as I am disabled. I live within the poverty guidelines, I have a roof over my head, food in the fridge, a car, access to health care. I watch the disinformation on the news. I've seen 1st hand how families in a third world country live in poverty. I am truly blessed. I live pretty good for a poor person. My government saved my life with medical coverage. So right or wrong, whether I disagree or not, I'd go to war if they sent me and I'd die for my fellow americans while trying to ensure that they continue to live. I still try to work whenever able and worked from the age of 14 up until my disability prevented it. I pay my taxes in the hopes our country and the world thrives for our children and grandchildren. How can we stop or change a government? I thought voting was enough but it wasn't. What happened to free speech, privacy and freedom for all? The times they are a changin. I read above that we are the biggest victims of all. I'm not too numb to search for the truth, but I AM scared to stand against my government alone in protest. I don't know what information they have about our future but I'd like to believe that maybe what is occurring is a means to an end. It doesn't justify it, but perhaps like our american entertainment.... there will be a happy ending and in the end it will all make sense because invading a country, whatever the reason, to me, is not the American Way and not what America was intended to do. How are we now any different from that which our ancestors fought so hard to escape from. I'll hang my head in shame if I meet my ancestors when my time comes. Until then, I sit with my rose colored glasses until I cast my vote again and hope that things on earth improve for all and death rates decline. A pleasant fantasy indeed. Blind? Ignorant? Lazy? Victim? Helpless? All of the above. This is Corporate America after all.
